| FOR OLD TIMES' SAKE 2004 - ROCK & DANCE CONCERT AT RJC |
“If ever there was a night of old school glitz and rock, how nice.”
FOR OLD TIME’S SAKE 2004
We are beginning to think that we have a particular talent to party and
please…
An invitation to a night of larger-than-life rock and dance concert. An
appreciation of the exquisite weaving of rock, pop and jazz; and of the
different cohorts of Rafflesians spanning 3 decades…
Rock Bands, Dance Groups & Solo Singers. In the tradition of our Faculty
Nights, be prepared to be blown away by the sterling performances of
current students and your fellow alumni. Relive your JC days once more!
Only this time, you can wear your coolest shades and Elvis pants (no
more uniforms), you can cheer and sing as loud as you want (no
discipline master going shhhhh!) and you know it’s gonna be a wild
party!

| Raffles Gala Dinner ¨C 180th Founder¡¯s Day Celebrations |
 |
30 April 2003 at the Ritz Carlton Millenia Hotel
Guest of Honour: Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong
A momentous event in the history of Raffles is in the offing.
RJC will be relocated to Bishan in 2004 to be next to RI. For
Rafflesians who lamented the separation of the Pre-U classes
from RI and then the further separation of RJC to Mount Sinai
and RI to Bishan, this coming together of the two Raffles
schools is the fulfilment of a dream.
To cater to the very diverse talents that Rafflesians are famous
for, the new RJC premises will have facilities beyond the
standard junior college design. Hence, the need to raise funds.
Mr Lim Hng Kiang, Minister for Health and Second Minister for
Finance, himself an Old Rafflesian, is our enthusiastic and
dedicated advisor.

RAFFLES @ CHIJMES
The final performance of RJC Arts Festival 2002 combines Chorale and
Chamber Ensemble in RAFFLES @ CHIJMES. Both the Chorale and Ensemble
have earlier presented an independent concert during the Arts Festival.
Each of the two groups has established a good reputation among school
musical groups, winning gold awards at Singapore Youth Festival in 1999
and 2001. Chorale won the "Best Junior College Choir of the Year" award
in 1999 while Chamber Ensemble was invited to present in the SYF
presentation in 2001. RAFFLES @ CHIJMES provides a different learning
experience for the students. In this concert, vocalists and string
instrumentalists explore varying sets of repertoire and learn to work
together in the combined items. This concert also aims to raise funds
for the new RJC campus. |
